Do I have to replace my current DW Spectrum system to use DW Cumulus?

No. DW Cumulus was designed to add cloud storage to existing DW Spectrum Enterprise servers without redesigning or replacing anything. Your cameras, server and users stay exactly as they are. We simply add a cloud storage tier behind them.

Can I use DW Cumulus without any server at all?

Yes. Pair DW MEGApix Ai CloudCam cameras with DW Cumulus and you have a completely serverless system: the cameras record and run AI analytics on-board, and DW Cumulus provides the cloud storage. It is ideal for new sites, remote locations and businesses that would rather not manage recording hardware.

What happens to my video if my internet goes down?

Your system keeps recording. Because video is captured locally first, an internet outage does not create a gap in coverage. Once the connection is restored, your local recordings continue syncing to the cloud. You own your video and you control who sees it.
